Electrical Discharge Machine (EDM)

This is a machining process using current discharge between an electrode and the work piece in dielectric fluids. ​ The sparking effect will erode the working piece in the form require as define in the electrode.

This process makes it possible to manufacture parts that normally other processes are not able to. The EDM in general is worked on material surfaces

 

Wire Electrical Discharge Machining (Wire EDM)

 

 

WEDM (Wire Cut)

 Simply defined as a wire cut manufacturing process. Unlike the EDM which uses a formed electrode, the wirecut process uses a single stand of brass wire as the cutting electrode submerge in dielectric fluid to erode and cut the metal. It has the capability to process parts with high accuracy finishing, where other processes is not able.
